This month we have published three new texts: a phowa liturgy and a survey of the Nyingtik Yabshyi, which was published in both English and Chinese.
“Fortunate ones who meet with these instructions
Will be victorious over the truth of suffering and the enemy of the Lord of Death.
May this become the cause for actualizing in this very life
The primordial, deathless vajra speech of bliss and emptiness!”
Our first text An Authentic Liturgy for Daily Practice of the Treasure Text of Transference: Enlightenment Without Meditation, from The Heart-Essence of the Vast Expanse by Adzom Drukpa. In this arrangement of the Longchen Nyingtik transference (phowa), Adzom Drukpa adds some pithy advice exhorting all those who have not yet accomplished Dzogchen to take this practice to heart and train in it regularly.
We were very happy with our second text for this month, A Survey of the Fourfold Heart-Essence (Nyingtik Yabzhi) and the Heart-Essence of the Vast Expanse (Longchen Nyingtik), by Dezhung Rinpoche and Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche. This brief explanation of the Fourfold Heart-Essence (Nyingtik Yabzhi) corpus and Heart-Essence of the Vast Expanse (Longchen Nyingtik) revelation was written in Seattle in the early 1960s in reply to a question from E. Gene Smith. Dezhung Rinpoche consulted Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, who clarified some points and added further notes. The text is thus included among the collected writings of both masters.
Thanks to the efforts of Po-yu Sung the same text was also translated into Chinese: 四部心滴與龍欽心滴綜觀
Meeting Rabjam Rinpoche
This month we were also able to meet Rabjam Rinpoche and present our progress of the last three years, giving him a list of all the texts we have published. We also presented our latest translation of the Survey of the Fourfold Heart-Essence, which was co-written by his grand father Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche.
