Report October 2025: Seeing the Natural State, Tikle Gyachen Wang and French
This month we published four new texts, two in English and two in French.
Our first new text is The Great Perfection: Directly Seeing the Natural State, Vital Instructions for Beginners, by Rigdzin Jigme Lingpa. This pith instruction on maintaining clear, naked awareness is part of the supportive teachings (gyabchö) in the Great Perfection section of the Longchen Nyingtik. It is one of a number texts that Jigme Lingpa composed following his visions of Longchenpa. We’d like to express our gratitude to Sean Price and Patrick Gaffney for their efforts.
Our second text is Bindu of Great Bliss, Supplementary Instructions for the Supreme Bestowal of Wisdom, The Ripening Empowerment for the Sealed Quintessence (Tikle Gyachen), by the Fifteenth Karmapa, Khakhyap Dorje. This is an arrangement for the empowerment of Tiklé Gyachen ('Sealed Quintessence'), the innermost secret guru practice of the Heart-Essence of the Vast Expanse.
Jigme Lingpa's anniversary was this month, so what better way to honor him than by reading (or re-reading) and reflecting on his life and spiritual journey through his autobiography in verse, composed by the master himself: Adornment of Dohā, A Factual Account of the Life and Liberation of the Dzogchenpa Rangjung Dorje
Translations into French
The Longchen Nyingtik project will start to make more of our translations available in French with the help of Vincent Thibault. Vincent has recently translated A Catalogue of the Heart Essence of the Vast Expanse and Precious Bundle of Grain, A Record of Received Teachings for the Collected Works of the Omniscient Guru Jigme Lingpa into French:
